Come.. Let’s tackle dengue fever with naturopathic and Ayurvedic remedies!!!

It’s monsoon season, the most beautiful season with rich greeneries!!The only threat which is disturbing this beauty is “health issues” mainly transmitting diseases. In most of your vicinities water will be clogged here and there. This will facilitate the breeding of mosquitoes and currently in Bengaluru the spread of dengue fever is high.

Dengue is caused by Aedes aegypti mosquito which directly affects the bone marrow where the production of platelets are happening. Due to this the production decreases. The common symptoms of dengue are sudden rise in temperature, weakness, muscular pain, head ache, chills, rashes, nausea and vomiting.Let’s see how ayurvedic and naturopathic measures work for dengue:

Fasting

Fasting is one of the time tested effective ways of management of fever. During fever the digestion and metabolism will be poor. So if we could maintain a very light, hydrating and nutritious diet it will be easy for absorption and fast recovery. You can opt for juice of pomegranate, ash gourd, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, mosambi ,lemon etc, and also various porridges along with vegetables. Papaya leaf juice is an excellent medicine to increase the platelet count. The extract of papaya leaves has been shown to increase ALOX12 (arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase or platelet type lipoxygenase) by 15 times. This enzyme promotes platelet production via the increased number and differentiation of megakaryocytes.

Other managements are:

· Adequate rest

· Plenty of intake of water

· Intake of cold milk+sugar candy

· Administration of Giloy decoction

· Intake of tea made up of cumin, coriander, fennel seeds(CCF tea) along with dry ginger(one pinch)

· Various medicated packs in naturopathy also will help to reduce the raised temperature in the body

· Ayurvedic medications are beneficial to enhance the immune system which will be deteriorated during this period.

· Use regular herbal mosquito repellents at home and surroundings

· Always keep the surroundings clean and tidy

· Don’t allow water clogging anywhere in your surroundings
